The tour, dubbed “Welcome To The Family” after one of the album’s songs, runs between April 22 at the Century Tel Center in Lossier City, La., and May 18 at the San Antonio Alamodome.

Additional tour dates include April 30 at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.; May 3 at the Mass Mutual Center Main in Springfield, Mass.; May 9 at Orlando’s UCF Arena; May 14 at the InTrust Bank Center in Wichita; and May 17 at the Lonestar Amphitheatre in Lubbock, Texas.

Special guests Three Days Grace will join the band for the entire tour, while Sevendust appears April 22-May 1 and Bullet For My Valentine appears May 3-20.

Avenged Sevenfold is also scheduled for several festival appearances during and after their solo tour. These were the words expressed by Avenged Sevenfold’s drummer, Mike Portnoy, who, like so many in the heavy metal world, was shocked to hear the news of Ronnie James Dios’s death.

Dio passed away on May 16th after losing his battle to stomach cancer. The 67 year old singer of many metal bands, including Rainbow, Black Sabbath and most recently Heaven and Hell, was scheduled to tour this summer. Memorial & funeral arrangements are pending.
